The Art of Geometry

This remodel in WHERE WAS THIS PROJECT? was finished in 2020. The goal was to create a sophisticated, understated living space that complemented the property’s gorgeous views.

This project started with the bay windows, which are Marvin Infinity Dark Charcoal color on the exterior and natural wood on the interior, stained with Spanish Oak.

All new drywall was installed throughout the unit with an exceptionally smooth level 5 finish, painted Durapoxy matte white.

New baseboard was installed and the hardwood floor was refinished and stained.

Next, the fireplace was resurfaced with long concrete boards and joined with mitered corners to create the appearance of a single, unified structure.

Finally, the kitchen was installed. The natural wood grain and flush cabinet doors were designed to complement the several kitchen windows, without stealing the show. Several electrical outlets were installed sideways in the narrow strip between the windows and the countertops, to provide convenience without detraction.
